Adams County was originally part of Arapahoe County, as was Denver County. On November 15, 1902 Adams County was officially it's own county. The county seat of Adams County is Brighton. To help historians and genealogists, here are some addresses to help you in your research:

Mary's families came to Colorado starting around 1875. The Thompson family homesteaded in what is now Adams County in 1882. This page will continue to grow as we post information we have on Adams County that will help everyone. Be sure to bookmark our page and come back for a visit every so often.
