OBSERVATION CAR IN ROYAL GORGE

The Observation Car that is used for the trip through the Royal Gorge is an open car, permitting the tourists full view of the stupendous precipices, upon the summits of which bands of mountain sheep are often seen. The sky is a mere thread of blue overhead, the Arkansas River dashes triumphantly along, the track and the canon at times seem blocked by the winding of the red granite walls, sparkling with mica, at other times lost in the distance beyond.
