1. Open letter to our readers: We have had a tremendous number of letters requesting information on the Ridge Home, which I now understand is due to be demolished. I do not have any other information on this. Do any of you readers have the information on this demotion and why the building is not being preserved as an historical site? Also, do any of you have photos and other data on the Ridge Home?

2. Open letter to our readers: September 14, 2003 - We have receiving queries about potential patient abuse at the Ridge Home. We have no information on this in our files. We all are aware that homes and hospitals such as these in the late 1800s and early 1900s were the source of some patient abuse and neglect. This is not the forum for that. Our purpose is to record for history the facts on the people who worked there, the people who were patients there, and the history of the school itself.
