We pick up our Dusenbery line with Mary Dusenbery who married Joseph D. Fickel on August 1, 1805 in Muskegum County, Ohio.

We have found the name to be spelled in various forms - Dusenbery, Dusenbury, Dusenberry, Dusenburry, Dusenburg, and the list goes on. In our records, we have followed the Dusenbery spelling in order to be consistant. That is the spelling that is found in the DAR records for William Dusenbery.
