CENSUS
I have been unable to locate and verify William McFall in the 1820 US Census. There is a marriage for them in 1815 in Stark County OH. Their daughter Rachel was married in Hancock County OH in 1844, and son William J. was married in Hancock County OH in 1846. In a biography of son William, it states that William Sr. died in 1829. In 1840, the only McFall in Stark County was John McFall (found through an index):

There was no McFall in Hancock County OH in 1840 according to the index. It was obvious from the 1850 Census that Rachel had remarried sometime between William's death and 1850, only to become a widow again. So in searching for a McCabe in Stark or Hancock Counties, in 1830 and 1840, we found no Mc Cabe names in those two counties.
