Rebecca Tompkins and Benjamin Brown Cole
Rebecca Tompkins
Born December 16, 1815 in Tennessee
Parents - William Tompkins and Elizabeth Owens.
Died - between 1850 and 1860, probably in Arkansas
Buried - not known
Benjamin Brown Cole
June 17, 1809 in Kentucky
Parents - Samuel Cole and Mary Brown
Died - Some researchers say he died March 2, 1885 (or 1895) and is buried in "Wheaton Cemetery, Horton, Whiting, Kansas".
In trying to locate this, I found a "Wheaton Cemetery" in Pottawattamie County in NE Kansas; a town of "Horton" in Brown County in NE Kansas; a town of "Whiting" in Jackson County in NE Kansas. Horton and Whiting are close to each other, though in separate counties. And there is a Holton in Jackson County, not too far south of Whiting.
Second marriage - Louisa Curl, born about 1807, in Virginia. Living with Benjamin Cole in 1860 (see census below). Married October 18, 1854 in Bureau County, Illinois.
