WYOMING HISTORY HOMEPAGE
Welcome to the Carbon County History Homepage. The background of this page is a photo we took of Ferris Mountains, east of Muddy Gap, in November 2001 at sunset.
Established in 1868 as a county in the Dakota Territory, Carbon County has a rich history of cattle, sheep, mining, and railroads. We hope to help acquaint you with it's history, as well as help you locate information on your family roots in Carbon County.
