DAVEY - Doris Jean Davey  

Doris Jean Davey died Sunday, April 9, 2000, at Dixie Regional Medical Center in St. George, Utah.  She was 71 years old.   Cremation has taken place and memorial services are under the direction of Hudson's Funeral Home of Lander with date, time, and place to be announced later.   Doris Jean Murray (Davey) was born Aug.  22, 1928, in Lander the daughter of James "Jimmy" and Sarah Ann Murray.  She attended school in Lander and was graduated from Fremont County Vocational High School in Lander.   Doris Jean married William Thomas "Tom" Davey on March 14, 1953, in Lander.  They raised their family and made their home in Lander until they retired to St. George in 1998.   Her family says Doris Jean's life was devoted to loving and caring for her husband, children and grandchildren.   She worked at Bishop Randall Hospital, Lander Valley Medical Center and the Showboat Retirement Center.   The family says she enjoyed bowling, golf, knitting, and embroidery.   Doris Jean Davey is survived by her husband, Tom;  her children, Richard of Lander, Cathy and Toby Spence of Douglas, William Thomas "Bill", Jr., of Rock Springs;  one sister, Betty Jo Trigg and her husband, Bill, of Mineral Wells, Texas, and six grandchildren, William Thomas III and Christina Jean Davey and Tyler Dyland, Logan and Caleb Spence.   She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant brother.

AMBOH - Aline Amboh  

Services for Aline Amboh, 49, were April 10 from Rocky Mountain Hall at Fort Washakie.  The Rev. Father Tom Means of the Shoshone Episcopal Mission officiated and burial followed at the Sacajawea Cemetery.  Aline Amboh died late Thursday morning, April 6, 2000, at Wyoming Medical Center in Casper.   Aline Amboh was born Nov. 20, 1950, in Fort Washakie, the daughter of Ned and Jean (Tarness) Amboh.  She was graduated from Lander Valley High School in 1969.  She worked for a few years at the Rocky Mountain Hall Cafe.  While working in the cafe, a teachers' assistant position opened in the Fort Washakie elementary school and she then worked at the school for 29 years.   Her family says Aline Amboh loved to spend time with her daughter, Lorinda, do beadwrok, and being outdoors.  She is survived by her daughter, Lorinda; sisters, Claudine Perry of Fort Washakie, Irene Peahora of Fort Washakie, and Lila Rodriquez of Lovelock, Nev.;  her brother, Eddie Amboh, and numerous nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, and two sisters, Hudson's Funeral Home of Lander is in charge of arrangements.

CRISLER - Alma Naomi "Ockoman" Crisler  

Alma Crisler, 94, of Lander, died April 8 at the Lander Medical Center.   Mrs. Crisler was born Aug. 11, 1905 in Anderson, Indiana to Harvey Thomas Ockoman and Joyce Everman.  She was orphaned at the age of 7 and raised by Mr. and Mrs. Charles Fisher.   Mrs. Crisler graduated from New Bethel, Indiana High School in 1922.  In 1923 she married Chester R. Crisler and they lived in Indiana until 1975 when they moved to Lander, where they remained until their deaths.   She was a certified beautician and worked as an Assistant Librarian at the Lowell Pulblic Library.  She was an accomplished musician who passed on a musical legacy to her family.  She spent her final years at the Showboat Retirement Center where she enjoyed painting, writing poetry and spending time with her friends playing bingo and taking scenic bus rides.   Mrs. Crisler was preceded in death by one brother, two sisters, her husband, three children and one great grandchild.  She is survived by her son, Robert O. Crisler and Molly Low of San Diego, Calif.;  her daughter, Carolyn and John McIntyre of Lander;  six grand children, Valerie and Everett Winston of Lander, Dana Navarre of Lander, Dawn Branning and Brad Meredith of Hudson, Jeff and Kathy Crisler of Logan, Ohio, Diane and Lenny Moller of South Salem, NY, and David Schultz;  seven great-grandchildren.   Private family services were held April 9 and a tree will be planted in honor of Mrs. Crisler at a later date.  In lieu of cards and flowers, donations can be sent to the Showboat Retirement Center.
