BLUMENSHINE - Dave Blumenshine

D. Blumenshine To Be Buried Tomorrow at 1

Longtime Riverton area resident farmer, Dave Blumenshine, will be buried at Mountain View Cemetery in Rivertom tomorrow (Saturday), following .... funeral services from the Davis Funeral Home. Pastor Robert Oberheu will officiate.

Mr. Blumenshine died at 10 pm Tuesday January 20, 1970 at Natrona County Memorial Hospital in Casper. He was nearly 60 years old.

The son of John and Elizabeth Lienweber Blumenshine, he was born February 3, 1910 in Longmont Colorado.

He moved to Riverton with his family in 1931 and was a farmer two miles north of Riverton on North Eighth West.

Survivors include brothers Henry, John and Alex, all of Riverton, and sisters Pauline Baumgartner and Katherine Baumgartner, both of Colorado.

Pallbearers will be his nephews Earl Baumgartner, Larry Baumgartner, Reuben Blumenshine, Herman Blumenshine, Walter Bluemenshine and Raymond Blumenshine.

NAY (listed as MAY) - Lawrence May Died Friday

Lawrence N. May, 65, of Dubois died at 2:15 a.m. January 23 at Memorial Hospital in Riverton.

He was born December 28, 1904 in Marysville, Utah to Ormus and Clara May. He married Ethyl McMurchy in 1952 in Reno, Nevada. He was a veteran of World War II.

He had lived in Nevada and California and came to Dubois two years ago from Idaho.

He is survived by his wife and son, Bill, in Dubois; a son Edwin in California and a daughter Sherlene in Oregon. There are seven grandchildren, a brother Wilbur May in Nevada and a sister Mrs. Marsh Mulkey in California.

Services are 10 a.m. Thursday at the Davis Funeral Home, the Reverand Lester Thrasher of Dubois officiating with interment in Mountain View Cemetery.

PARKER - Clarence Leslie Parker

Clarence Leslie Parker, 76, longtime area rancher, died Thursday, January 29, at Bishop Randall Hospital where he had been a patient for several weeks.

Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Monday, Feb 2, from Trinity Episcopal Church. The Rev. Bill Cross officiated and burial was in Mount Hope Cemetery under the direction of the Henry Mortuary.

Mr. Parker was born Dec 31, 1899, in Waneta, Kan., the son of Harry and Dehlia Baungartner Parker.

He married the former Mary Margaret Powell of Hemingford, Neb., on Dec 31, 1925 in Gehring, Neb. In the spring of 1929 they moved to Ethete to ranch and farm on a place on Little Wind River. They lived there for five years and then moved to their present ranch west of Ray Lake. They have lived there for 42 years.

On Jan. 4 of this year the Clarence Parkers celebrated their 50th wedding anniversay at the home of their daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Coates on Baldwin Creek. The occasion was an Open House and 120 friends and relatives joined them in the celebration.

Survivors include his wife Mary Margaret; four sons, Leslie, Glenn, Forrest, all of Lander; and Leonard of Riverton; two daughters, Carol Coates and Elaine Gallinger, both of Lander; a brother, Willard "Bill" Parker of Morrill, Neb; 18 grandchildren and four greatgrandchildren.

One son preceded him in death.

Contributions to the Cardiac Care Unit at Bishop Randall Hospital in Mr. Parker's memory would be appreciated by the family.

TYLER - Scott D. Tyler

Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon, Jan 18 at the Davis Funeral Home in Riverton for Scott Duane Tyler, 10. The Rev. Arnold Steinert officiated and burial was in Mt. View Cemetery.

Scott, the son of Nathan and Beverly Tyler of Riverton died Saturday, Jan 24 at Bishop Randall Hospital after a long battle with leukemia. He was a fifth grade student at Jackson Elementary School in Riverton.

LOOKINGBILL - Daniel 'Art' Lookingbill

Services for 70 year old Daniel Arthur 'Art' Lookingbill of Riverton were held Wednesday, Dec 21 at 2 p.m. at the Davis Funeral Home in Riverton.

Lookingbill, a resident in Riverton since 1962, died Saturday, Dec 17 at Natrona Memorial Hospital in Casper.

Born Oct 10, 1907 in Romona, Okla, Lookingbill worked for the Service Pipeline Company, now Amoco Oil, before retiring years ago.

Lookingbill and his wife Helen, whom he married in 1930 in Oklahoma, came to Wyoming in 1936 and lived all over the state while he worked with the Service Pipeline-Amoco. The couple came to Riverton in 1962.

Lookingbill is survived by his wife Helen, three sons, Artie of Johannesburg, South Africa, Bill of Nampa Id and Jo of Lander, two daughters Mrs. Glenda Days of Casper and Mrs. Betty Hutchison of Riverton. He is also survived by a brother Lyle of Oklahoma and three sisters, Mrs. F. P. Lee of Ada, Okla; Mrs. A.S. Vernon of McPherson, Kan and Mrs. Gimple Eastmade of Midwest city, Okla, along with 19 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Burial after the services was in Mountain View Cemetery.

WETCHIE - Flynn Wetchie, Sr.

Services for Flynn Harvey Wetchie, Sr. of Fort Hall, Idaho will be Saturday, Dec 24 at 2 p.m. St. David's Episcopal Church in Ft. Washakie.

The 25 year old Wetchie died Friday, Dec 16 in ......................................................................................

Wetchie's body will lie in state at his aunt's, Mildred Tavo, home in Fort Washakie from 4 p.m. Friday until service time on Saturday.

VINSON - Mary Edith Vinson

Longtime Lander resident Mary Edith Vinson died at Bishop Randall Hospital about 1:25 a.m. Tuesday, Dec 20 after a lengthy illness.

The 77 year old Mrs. Vinson has lived in Lander since 1939.

Born to Samuel and Rosetta Faulks on April 19, 1900 in Dodge City, Kan, she married Raymond W. Vinson Sept 26, 1916 in Lamar, Colo. They homesteaded near Lamar in 1916 and worked the land there for about three years. The couple came to the Riverton area in 1928, moving to Shoshoni in 1931. The moved back to Riverton in 1937 before arriving in Lander in 1939.

While in Lander, Mrs. Vinson cared for new mothers and their babies in her home until they were better able to care for themselves. A licensed practical nurse, she worked as a special nurse at Bishop Randall Hospital for several years, retiring in 1963.

She was a Gold Star American War Mother, a member of Pepahuma Club and a member of the First Baptist Church of Lander.

Mrs. Vinson is survived by her husband Ray, two daughters, Fern Daggett of Vista, Calif, and Mrs. Doris Raddon of Baroil, three sons Glenn and Neil of Lander and Gary of Washington, D.C., sister Mrs. Irene Bender of Tucson, Ariz; brother Charles Faulks of Dodge City along with eight grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son Gene in World War II and one sister.

Funeral services will be Friday, Dec 23 at 2 p.m. at the First Baptist church with the Rev. Gilbert Moore officiating. Burial will be in Hount Hope Cemetery.

Those wishing to may make a memorial to the First Baptist Church in Mrs. Vinson's name.
