This map was published in a travel guide by the Denver and Rio Grande/Western Pacific Railway in 1900 - see link below to entire map.
HOWEVER, it has been brought to our attention that the D&RG never ran into Wyoming. At this point we are unsure what this map represents. However, there were railroads in Wyoming at that time. These lines were probably connecting lines. Another reader has recently written us that he has a diary from his ancestor who was a worker on a D&RG railroad in Wyoming during this time frame.
We will be starting our Railroad History Project much earlier than expected because of all this. Please keep this in mind when reading this map, and please check back with us later for our Railroads in Wyoming project.
